CONGRATULATIONS / AMHLOPHE / MAKOROKOTO Ntombiyothando SIZIBA: Recipient of the 2016 NOESIS Maths Scholar Award!

The 2016 NOESIS Maths Scholar Award is a one-off scholarship and mentorship award given to a Marist Dete A’level pioneering student (2016 class), who satisfied the following;

  1. Excellent results in the Form 6 end of year Maths exams, AND,
  2. Is enrolled on a Maths based University undergraduate programme.

Ntombi was nominated for the award by her school headmaster (Br Chirombe), who confirmed her results. She will be studying towards a degree in Statistics and Operations Research at NUST in Bulawayo in Zimbabwe, where she is due to commence in August/September 2017.

Arriving: Auckland Airport, New Zealand

Ntombi arrived in New Zealand today (27th of May 2017) where she will spend almost 3 months interacting with other like-minded (Maths mad) people, site seeing, learning about life overseas, and preparing for university.  She will also visit and learn from organisations and groups that are involved in community building and social responsibility, and knowledge gained will help create a similarly themed project for Ntombi to undertake back home while she studies in Bulawayo.

AMHLOPHE / MAKOROKOTO. We wish you well!
